1st Competition of the Season!

Wildfire had their first competition on Sunday! What a fun day! I love the first competition of the year – we learn so much!  Plus this is a fast one and we are back to back cheering which is always fun!

Shimmer
Our 2-4 year old team! They had a good performance and placed 5th.  I think the fact that no one cried or had an ‘accident’ is a HUGE accomplishment for this team!

Flicker
Our 4-6 year old team! They had a great performance and placed 4th.  They were the first team on the floor for the day, which is always a hard position to be in – but I was very impressed by their performance!

Fierce

Our 6-8 year old team! They had an okay performance J  We have some work to do – but we have very high expectations for this team!! There are five girls on this team that already have their backhandsprings so they are competing at a much higher level than most their age!  They finished first, and were the only team in their level.

Flash
Our 8-11 year old team! What a great performance by this team! They have improved SO much from last year! They finished 3rd and missed 2nd by one point! Apparently no one took pictures of the Flash team so here are some from our Ignite the Fire.  If anyone has pictures to share please pass them on!!

Fury
Our 10-14 year old team!  They had a good performance with a few errors in their stunting.  However they had a great tumbling performance!  We were missing four girls so the next performance with everyone should be awesome!  Again no one took pictures of the Fury team so here are some from our Ignite the Fire.  If anyone has pictures to share please pass them on!!

Frenzy
Our college team! They were Division Champs, Most Entertaining, and Grand Champions!

The girls laying on the ground are in the middle of a forward roll.. :) Sometimes motion shots are not flattering!

And Now We Wait...

Thank you to Beverly King, Amanda Larson, and Amber Hanson for the great pictures!

See you at our next competition!!

My Old Man

My hubby turned 30 last Friday.  I meant to blog a super embarrassing post filled with lots of ‘old’ jokes – but as usual I was running behind!  But I hate to miss an opportunity, so I’ll just post late!

I am married to a good man.
He is my best friend. He is my favorite person in the world.

I love living my life with him. He knows me better than I know myself.
I pray my children share their lives with the soul mate God created for them.

Finding him is the greatest discovery of my life. Keeping him is the reward.
After being married nearly ten years, I’m happy to say we’ve conquered some heavy challenges, we’ve weathered some storms and are stronger because of them.

I have loved him for almost fourteen years.  I will love him for a lifetime.
(even if he is A LOT older than me!)
