My Wild Children

The Original Wild Children! They will henceforth be referred to as K1, K2, and K3.

K1 attended her first Cheer Competition at the age of one week - poor thing! Despite being drug from one competition to another literally from birth she loves performing! She is a naturally shy child but never hesitated to go on the floor and perform!

K2 is the queen of 'facials!'  She is a total ham when it comes to performing.  She is quite the choreographer, and enjoys showing you her hip-hop moves.  Much to her father's dismay, she thinks that this must involve booty shaking! :)

K3 was 18 months old when we started building the gym.  I'm not exactly sure that she loved it, however whatever her sisters do - she is right there with them!  She could do all of the 4-5 year olds routine at the age of two.  This is her first year actually getting to perform and she is loving being part of a team and making new friends!

These girls have sat at competitions all day long, been woken up hours earlier than necessary to get to coaches check in, been experimented on, nagged, ignored, and pushed.

They do homework, eat supper, and take naps at the gym.  They rarely get to go home and play after school, rarely get to go home much before bedtime - and yet they rarely complain.

They get to go home with their coach, who sometimes forgets to stop being a coach. And every time I start to feel guilty they give me some small reminder of why this is such a wonderful thing we get to share.  Whether it is our break-out dance sessions, mastery of a new skill, or a common bond over a shared passion.

I always thought I would be a stay-at-home mom.  It was my plan.  Of course, I had no idea what God had in store for me.  Now that this has become such a huge part of our life I can see how very fortunate we are.  I love the fact that I get to take my kids to work with me everyday and share this with them.
